This daydreaming rock star is armed with a microphone, guitar and unpredictable songs. Roel C. Verburg unexpectedly comes across as the worst rapper on the street, sings about what it is like to be his own grandfather and passionately serenades the cherished female oyster.

Roel’s relaxed and dryly comical stories are about the helplessness of the menfolk, which manifests itself in being able to do only one thing at a time and being trapped. He can anti-rhyme like no other and is a living legend of sdrawkcab gniklat (talking backwards). For fans of Flight of the Conchords, Stephen Lynch and Henry Phillips: acts that are sometimes called the non-Dutch Roel C. Verburg.

You may know Roel from Padoem Patsss The Oneliner Show, Kopnagels, are weekly current songs on Radio Veronica. He played in every nook and cranny of the country: from Lowlands to Zwarte Cross. In addition, he released his funny songs, of Spinvisian quality, on the records Liedjes Voor De Kater and Gele Album. Roel is a bit of the Obi-Wan Kenobi of Dutch comedy in a rough jacket. He takes emerging stance uppers under his wings and teaches them the tricks of the trade.
